'We Need to Talk About Kevin' still

Ezra Miller has said that he feels connected to the disturbed teenager he plays in We Need To Talk About Kevin.

The actor told the Cannes press conference for the film that he saw parallels between himself and the character in Lynne Ramsay‘s adaptation of Lionel Shriver‘s novel.

Miller explained: “To my horror, I do feel a little connected to Kevin. Always did – always will. It’s a little scary.

“One of the very intense realities about being a human is all sorts of bad and all sorts of good exists in all of us.”

He added: “My approach to the film and to the character is finding those parts in myself.

“The conditions and circumstances of a person’s life are going to make them what they are – so I could have been Kevin.”
