Ezra Miller, co-star of the upcoming movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower, was arrested for marijuana possession where the film is being shot south of Pittsburgh in Upper St. Clair on June 22. At 11:30 pm, police pulled over the car Miller was in for a malfunctioning brake light and smelled pot. The 19-year-old New Jersey native, who’s appeared on Californication and Royal Pains, allegedly had 20 grams of weed in a bag, plus rolling papers.
Update: On July 5, a judge dismissed the pot charge, but fined Miller $600 for disorderly conduct.
Adapted from Stephen Chbosky’s novel about a high-school freshman who’s introduced to drugs by seniors, Miller plays gay senior Patrick in Perks. The movie also features Paul Rudd, Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott and Logan Lerman as the lead character, Charlie.
